CFA Institute Research Challenge

We are pleased to announce that a record number of teams takes part in Polish edition of international competition CFA Institute Research Challenge. We would like to thank you for your involvement and great support in promoting our initiative.

This year 25 universities are represented by 33 teams. We wish you all good luck for reports!

All written report are now under review and evaluated by grader till 26th February.



The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual, global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis.

Each Research Challenge season leverages the efforts of over 140 CFA member societies, 3,500 member volunteers, and more than 5,000 students from over 1,000 universities. Local competitions (organized by societies) lead up to regional finals; regional champions then convene for the global final.

You are eligible to participate if:
You are a full time student at a participating university
You do not hold the CFA charter
You have never worked in a role that involved fundamental company analysis
You have never participated in the CFA Institute Research Challenge

28th November, 2017 — the deadline for registration of teams

14th December 2017 — Kick-Off Meeting

18th February, 2018 — the deadline for report submission

26th February, 2018 — students are informed about evaluation of each written report

2nd March, 2018 — Local Final, Warsaw Stock Exchange building, Książęca 4 st.

4th—5th April, 2018 — EMEA Regional Final, Dublin

20th April, 2018 — Global Final, Seul, South Korea

The local final of this edition was held in Warsaw Stock Exchange building in Warsaw, 3rd March, 2017. The conducted research on the subject company was CCC, the leader in footwear sector.

The conducted research on the subject company was COMARCH in 2015-16. The winner of this edition was the team from Wrocław University of Economics that represented Poland at the regional global level in Chicago. The local-level competition had 22 teams from 14 universities (Poland, Latvia and Lithuania).
